dead end depression—a messy poem

Constantly trying to escape

To places, to people

Without reason
Without cause
Without purpose

There’s no way out
because there wasn’t suppose to be a way in

Four corners
two closing in

Look both ways before you cross
ceaseless traffic

Pray to God you make it over safely.
Pray to God you make it.
Pray to God.
Pray.

God.

How many times can you cry before you run out of tears?

Fill an ocean so deep for He says
when you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
Isaiah 43:2

Let the sadness pass through
Let the sadness pass through
Let the sadness

The sadness is not passing
it’s checking in for a long term stay

Does it end this way?
Does it end this way?

Dear God
Dear God
Dear God

I’m stuck.
