I remember April as if it were yesterday, which is crazy because we’re already a week into May!
Oh all the things I have yet to do!
These are the goals I will attempt to pursue:
- Work my running endurance time up to 25 minutes.
- Try to increase my push-up count to 30.
- Shed three pounds to hit my monthly goal weight of 133 lbs.
- Incorporate more outdoor activities into my daily workout.
- Up my water intake to 64 oz/day.
- Complete chapter one of my new book.
- And finish this school semester off B+ average.
Today marks three months since I’ve made the transition to a vegan lifestyle and I would definitely say the benefits are limitless. I feel stronger, happier, lighter. In total, I’ve lost 7 lbs and 5 inches total and that’s a big deal for me. The confidence I’ve gained these last few months have been unbelievable. Better yet, inconceivable! It’s almost as if I have a whole new mindset now; a new sense of perspective and a greater sense of direction. I know what I want to be, who I want to be, and why I want to be it…at least for now! I tend to change my mind time to time. For example, this is my first year of college and I’ve changed my major six times already! That’s got to be ground breaking or something!
Kidding, but that definitely proves I’m a Libra…if you believe in that sort of thing. I’m serious though, if I hadn’t gone vegan, I would have never branch out and explored different types of foods like bell peppers or edamame pasta or kiwi (AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE KIWI). I would have never thought to learn how to operate a stove or preheat an oven. To learn how to count macros or take food measurements. I would have never realized the significance of eating more instead of less, the fun in cooking, or even the thrill of buying my own groceries. I’ve gained not only confidence but a great deal of independence and for that I am thankful.
So utterly thankful.
And my family is proud of me. They see the change in my physique as well as the boost in my self-esteem and it honestly brings me great joy to finally see a difference when all I’ve wanted for so long is change. I’m slowly reaching my highest potential, I can feel it!
Speaking about potential, filming for the new Netflix series my twin sister, Chelsea, and I booked recurring roles on starts this coming Friday and words cannot personally explain my excitement! We are on the call sheet for SIX WHOLE EPISODES at this moment in time and hopefully if we prove to them our potential, they’ll even extend our characters further on down the rode!
Fingers crossed.
In total, I have found happiness within myself. Unceasing, undying, unconditional happiness. Self-love is a powerful thing and I encourage you all to seek out that kind of happiness and love for yourselves if you haven’t already.
Let May guide you to your own highest potential.
Thank you for reading and see you next time on the blog,
Be seeing you. xX
